A place to pray: the grotto of the Hermitage

On Saturday, February 18, the grotto of Gethsemane Hermitage re-opened. A place for personal prayer, liturgical celebrations and spiritual gatherings.

Overlooking the old city of Jerusalem, surrounded by ancient olive trees and a few havens, the Hermitage of Gethsemane is the ideal place for those who need to stay in silence and meditation … in the company of Jesus. A unique place to pray.

On Saturday, February 18, a grotto, once a small rocky ravine, re-opened here, in a simple and intimate ceremony, attended by numerous local and foreign faithful, as well as by some friars of the Custody of the Holy Land, together with the Custodial Vicar Father Dobromir Jaztal.
